Seize, Curb, Prohibit

People thought the world they live in was normal. They must stay that way. No, not the world—the thought. The world is decidedly not normal.

You are agents of a shadowy organization, whose sole job is to hide the existence of anomalies from the knowledge of the public. You seize anomalies when the organization is alerted to it, curb its effect and contain it, and prohibit the public from learning its horrific, cognitive dissonance-inducing existence.

In short, you maintain normalcy by quickly wrapping up all things not normal and hide them somewhere else. And you try to not die while doing so. Think Men In Black. Think SCP Foundation.

Seize, Curb, Prohibit is a one-page roleplaying game set in our own world. It is designed to give you a short but meaningful experience in simulating a confrontation with things that shouldn't exist, but exists anyway. The sanity of mankind's very way of life is in your hands. Even if just one of those things escapes and becomes known, people will question anything else going on in their lives. That is always bad. Imagine not being sure whether your right hand is not made of jelly.

To play the game, all you need is this single-sheet document, a six-sided die, a ten-sided die, and up to four friends. One of you will act as the Administrator—the game master, and the others will play the Agents, with all their specialties and quirks. Together you weave a tale of explorations, encounters, problem solving, and—most importantly—coverups.
